App Basics & Support

The Today tab shows your workouts and tasks for the day. You’ll see a Start Workout button on workout days, rest‑day reminders on off days, and any notes from your coach. Tap a task to read instructions and check it off when complete.

Open the Coaching/Schedule tab to view your full calendar. You can see past, current and future workouts and tasks all in one place.

The You tab highlights your personal bests, body‑measurement charts, workout history, progress photos and step counts—making it easy to track your progress over time.

Tap the Messages icon to open the chat. You can send updates, ask questions and share videos or photos with your coach directly from the app.

No. Newton’s programs are designed for both home and gym training. Equipment‑optional tracks let you work out anywhere.

Yes. Access your workouts, calendar and progress from iOS or Android devices or any modern web browser.

Absolutely. Programs include clear guidance, demo videos and scalable workouts so beginners and seasoned athletes alike can get started with confidence.

Workouts & Activities

On the Today tab, tap Start Workout. You’ll see a preview where you can adjust settings such as rest‑timer length. During the session, follow the instructions and mark each set complete. When you finish, swipe to save your workout and view the results.

If your coach allows it, you can drag and drop workouts to new dates in your training calendar. To schedule an on‑demand workout, choose it from the library, tap Schedule and pick a date.

Tap the + button on the Today tab and choose an activity from the presets, or create your own by selecting an emoji, colour and metrics like calories or distance.

In your training calendar, tap Activity History to see all past workouts and tap any workout for details. To view history for a specific exercise, go to Your Exercises in the You tab.

Yes. Download your workouts to complete them offline, or print a PDF from the workout overview if you prefer a hard copy.

If your coach has enabled it, you can create your own workouts by tapping the + icon in your training calendar, selecting exercises and adjusting sets and order.

Open the workout preview, tap the settings button and toggle the rest timer on or off to suit your pace.

Tasks, Metrics & Nutrition

Tap any task on the Today screen to see its instructions. For metric tasks, log each measurement individually or use “Log all metrics.” For photo tasks, take or upload your images and optionally add weight. Tap the checkmark when you’re done.

In the You tab, tap View more under Metrics. You can log all metrics at once or log them individually. To edit or delete a record, swipe left and use the icons.

Use the Food Journal card on the Today page. Tap Add Meal to log a meal with a description and photo. For macros tracking, tap Add Meal under your daily calorie goal and enter grams or percentages of protein, carbs and fat; the app totals your intake and shows daily or weekly summaries.

If your coach enables it, you can set your own macro goals. Tap Set Daily Goal and enter your targets by percentages or grams; you can edit them later in the Macros screen.

The built‑in macros tracker is optional. You can connect MyFitnessPal or Cronometer to sync your food diary so you don’t have to enter meals twice, or simply use those apps to look up macros and manually enter them here.

Yes. Newton is rolling out an AI Meal Scanner that lets you scan meals, barcodes and food labels to log macronutrients automatically.

No. Progress photos are a helpful way to visualize your results, but they’re completely optional. If you do submit them, make sure your images are appropriate—wear clothing suitable for social media and avoid complete nudity.

The AI Meal Scanner helps you log macros by scanning meals, barcodes, food labels or photos. It estimates your macros automatically, and you can adjust the serving size and values before saving.

Notifications & Goals

From the You tab, open Settings > Notifications. Enable trainer updates, workout reminders and task reminders, and adjust the default reminder time.

In the You tab, tap Add to create a goal. Use Add Countdown to set a name and end date, personalise it with an emoji and colour and set reminders. You can pin the countdown to the Today tab or share it with your coach.

Integrations & Devices

Go to Settings > App integrations in the You tab. You can connect Apple Health or Google Fit to sync weight, height, body fat, steps and heart rate, and connect Fitbit. You can disconnect from the same menu at any time.

Plans & Account Management

Every plan includes core training and tracking tools. Higher‑tier plans add group coaching, in‑app messaging and one‑on‑one support.

Newton occasionally offers limited‑time trials or onboarding promotions. Check the pricing page or contact support for current offers.

Studio add‑ons are goal‑specific modules—such as strength or mobility—that you can add alongside your main plan.

Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade or customise your plan at any time without long‑term contracts.

Yes. You can pause, cancel or change plans via your account settings or by contacting Newton Fitness support.

Log into the Newton web portal to view your purchases and cancel a recurring subscription. If self‑cancellation is enabled for your plan, you can cancel directly; otherwise, reach out to your coach for assistance.

Coaching & Support

Yes. Direct messaging is available on Guided and Coached plans so you can receive feedback, ask questions and check in with your coach anytime.
